A 2-Day Specialized Training Workshop was organized by IMFN on 28th-29th A
ugust 2018 at Royal Palm Golf & Country Club, Lahore. The exercise was conducted by World Bank Ce
rtified Master Trainer and Assistant Professor at IM Sciences, Dr. Zahoor Khan. The topic of the training workshop was Performance Evaluation of Islamic Microfinance Institutes. Institutional performance of IMFIs has been remained of central importance to evaluate institutional productivity and ‘monitor and compare’ its performance with other similar institutions for optimal policy agenda. Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) is widely emerging as a performance evaluation technique which can be used for measuring relative efficiency of decision-making units (DMU’s). It is getting popularity
and widely used as an organizational performance evaluation technique in management, finance and economics.
The first day consisted of two sessions. The first session revolved around the introduction of Islamic Microfinance Institutes, their history and the problems of the industry etc. The second session was more about the software itself i.e. Evaluation Management System (EMS).
The second day was solely based on the practice on the software in the supervision of Dr. Zahoor Khan.
At the end of the ceremony, certificates were distributed among the participants by Dr. Zahoor Khan.
